Board Meeting
on December 6, 2004

Members Absent: None

- Meeting was called to order at 11:12 a.m. Central
Standard Time.
- Pankratz made a motion to enter Executive Session to
hear oral examinations. Motion was seconded by Woldt and carried. Board
entered Executive Session at 11:15 a.m.
- Langenfeld made a motion to exit Executive Session.
Motion was seconded by Pankratz and carried. Board exited Executive Session
at 12:05 p.m.
- Woldt made a motion to grant licensure to A-249 based on
having received a passing score on the oral examination. Motion was seconded
by Langenfeld and approved by unanimous vote.
- Pankratz made a motion to approve the minutes of board
meeting on September 23, 2004, with correction to item 8. Motion was seconded
by Gunn and carried.
- Woldt made a motion to approve financial report for the
month ending October 31, 2004. Motion was seconded by Langenfeld and carried.
- Board discussed issue of reporting should psychologist
become aware of HIV risk to others.
- Pankratz made a motion to send two representatives from
Board and/or Staff to the ASPPB meeting in April of 2005. Motion was seconded
by Woldt and carried by unanimous vote.
- Board discussed proposed change in legislation regarding
composition of the Board Member relative to 36-27A-3, 36-27A-5, and 36-27A-7;
and will be submitting recommendations for changes.
- Langenfeld made a motion to enter Executive Session to
hear complaints. Motion was seconded by Woldt and carried. Board entered
Executive Session at 2:48 p.m.
- Langenfeld reported on C-173. Magnavito reported on
C-167, C-168, C-169, C-170, C-171, C-172, C-174, and C-175.
- Langenfeld made a motion to exit Executive Session.
Motion was seconded by Pankratz and carried.
- Magnavito reported that C-172 was on a non-licensed
psychologist that had left the state. The Board agreed that if the
non-licensed psychologist should return to South Dakota and engage in the
practice of psychology, the Board will recommend to the States Attorney in the
county wherein he is practicing that he be enjoined from further violations.
- Woldt made a motion to accept Langenfeld’s
recommendation to dismiss C-173 as complainant did not have a standing to
lodge a complaint. Motion was seconded by Pankratz and approved by unanimous
vote.
- Board set next board meeting for March 24, 2005, in
Pierre, South Dakota.
- Pankratz made a motion to enter Executive Session to
hear examinations. Motion was seconded by Woldt and carried. Board entered
Executive Session at 3:59 p.m.
- Langenfeld made a motion to exit Executive Session.
Motion was seconded by Pankratz and carried. Board exited Executive Session
at 5:46 p.m.
- Woldt made a motion to grant licensure to A-251 and
A-250 on the basis of having received a passing score on the oral
examination. Motion was seconded by Gunn and approved by unanimous vote.
- Pankratz made a motion to adjourn meeting. Motion was
seconded by Langenfeld and carried. Board adjourned at 5:56 p.m.
