SOUTH DAKOTA STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF PSYCHOLOGISTS
Board Meeting on March 25, 2004
Governor’s Inn in Pierre, South Dakota
Members Present: Gunn, Langenfeld, Pankratz, and Woldt
Members Absent: Magnavito
Others Present: Carol Tellinghuisen, Jill Lesselyoung. Also present during a portion of the meeting were Dick Tieszen and Kristy Fallon from the Tieszen Law Office, and Jeff Tronvold, Assistant Attorney General
1. Meeting was called to order at 11:10 Central Standard Time.
2. Pankratz made a motion to enter executive session. Motion was seconded by Woldt and
carried. Board entered Executive Session at 11:12 A.M. to hear examinations.
3. Pankratz made a motion to exit Executive Session. Motion was seconded by Woldt and
carried. Board exited Executive Session at 2:06 P.M.
4. Pankratz made a motion to accept minutes from meeting on December 3 and 4, 2003 as corrected. Motion was seconded.
5. Board met with Dick Tieszen and Kristy Fallon, from the Tieszen Law Office representing
a licensee regarding presentation of qualifications.
6. Woldt made a motion to accept the changes to the letterhead on the signature block of
licensee, as presented to the board, indicating that he is licensed as a psychologist at the
Masters level. Motion was seconded by Langenfeld and carried.
7. Langenfeld made a motion to enter Executive Session. Motion was seconded by Pankratz
and carried. Board entered Executive Session at 2:32 P.M.
8. Pankratz made a motion to exit Executive Session. Motion was seconded by Woldt and
carried. Board exited Executive Session at 3:23 P.M.
9. Langenfeld made a motion to accept financial report for month ending February 29, 2004.
Motion was seconded by Gunn and carried.
10. Carol Tellinghuisen reported on the status of C-167 and C-168.
11. Pankratz made a motion to renew the board’s consultant contract with Carol Tellinghuisen
to began June 1, 2004 and to include a six percent increase from current contract. Motion
was seconded by Woldt and carried.
12. Board discussed ASPPB’s ADA policy. As of March 31, 2004 ASPPB will no longer pay
for the cost of disability accommodations.
13. Board discussed ASPPB’s mobility program and decided to research other states’
involvement in this program.
14. Board set next meeting for June 17 and 18, 2004 in Pierre, South Dakota.
15. Gunn made a motion to enter Executive Session. Motion was seconded by Pankratz and
carried. Board entered Executive Session at 4:45 P.M. to hear examination.
16. Woldt made a motion to grant licensure to A-242, A-225, and A-237 on the basis of
having received a passing score on the oral examination. Motion was seconded by
Pankratz and carried.
17. Pankratz made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded by Woldt and
carried. Board meeting was adjourned at 6:21 P.M.
