Your benefactor, Clara Acker, was a long-time resident of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She worked for the City of Sioux Falls for 33 years as an administrative assistant in the Engineering Department. Clara was generous with her time and talents for many organizations. Clara and her husband, Marvin, were active in the American Legion and decorated veterans' graves with flags on Memorial Day for over 12 years. They had no children of their own, but they were special 'grandparents' to many. She would be happy to know that the money she worked so hard for will be used to benefit others. Clara's many friends remember her most for her laughter and love of life. She always had a smile and a joke for everyone. It was my privilege to be her friend and to carry out her final wishes.
