Course Description: Explore the topic of anger, especially as it relates to
attempts to set limits with challenging people.
Course Objectives: Participants will learn:
- The role anger plays in escalating or de-escalating a potential crisis
- Health steps for managing your anger
- Appropriate ways of expressing anger
- How to use rational detachment as a tool to reduce level of anger

Targeted Audience: Open to Department of Human Services Employees
(Participant must attend the 8 hour Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Initial Training course before
attending this refresher and recommend that participant attends Principles of Effective Limit
Setting prior to attending this course.)
