The mission of the Division of Service to the Blind and Visually Impaired (SBVI) is to provide individualized rehabilitation services that result in optimal employment and independent living outcomes for citizens who are blind or visually impaired.
The South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind (SDRC) would like to invite any South Dakota residents, who have low vision or are blind, to participate in the upcoming October "First Friday' event to be held on October 6, and feature the following:
8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
- A.T. walk-in clinic; come when you are available during that time and have your assistive technology questions answered by experienced staff.
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Must Register to Attend)
- Beginning O&M Skills
- Practice and learn beginner's orientation and mobility skills with Jen, including sighted guide and protective techniques.
