The mission of the Division of Service to the Blind and Visually Impaired (SBVI) is to provide individualized rehabilitation services that result in optimal employment and independent living outcomes for citizens who are blind or visually impaired.
The South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind (SDRC) would like to invite any South Dakota residents, who have low vision or are blind, to participate in the upcoming August â€œFirst Fridayâ€ event to be held on August 4, 2017, and feature the following:
8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
- A.T. walk-in clinic; come when you are available during that time and have your assistive technology questions answered by experienced staff.
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Must Register to Attend)
-OrCam - Learn about OrCam, including how to assemble the device, getting started, and how to read products and recognize faces with the OrCam.
