Course Description:
Through group work and discussion participants develop an understanding of what constitutes abuse, neglect, exploitation and mistreatment of persons receiving services in accordance with state and federal authorities.
Course Objectives:
Participants will:

Learn to identify the different types of abuse, neglect, exploitation or mistreatment

Learn to recognize the warning signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation or mistreatment

Understand what to do if abuse, neglect, exploitation or mistreatment is witnessed, discovered or suspected

Understand the importance of reporting abuse, neglect, exploitation or mistreatment

Understand the importance of good documentation to prevent abuse, neglect ,exploitation or mistreatment
Understand how to report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation or mistreatment
