Emergency Response Systems (ERS)

Emergency Response Systems (ERS) are electronic devices which, when triggered, initiate a call for help.  The purpose of the ERS is to provide a 24 hour safeguard for elderly individuals and individuals with physical disabilities who are at a significant risk for falls.  Both Non-Monitored and Monitored Emergency Response Systems are available and come with pendants for remote access to call previously programmed numbers in case of an emergency.

Non-Monitored Emergency Response Devices utilize an auto dialer to call designated family and/or neighbors to respond to an emergency.  These devices require a conventional land telephone line.
Monitored Emergency Response Devices utilize a 24 hour live responder  from a base location who initiates a call to local emergency response agencies.  These systems may be more appropriate for some individuals who do not have family members or neighbors living close by who are able to respond to an emergency.  These systems can be utilized whether the consumer has a land line or cell phone service.
