long term services and supports

Homemaker Services
Homemaker Services provide needed assistance to individuals to complete activities of daily living that they are unable to perform alone. Homemaker Services may prevent or delay premature or inappropriate institutionalization, making it possible for individuals to continue living in their own homes or to return to their homes.
Covered Services
Homemaker Services are day to day household tasks including:
- Housekeeping (dusting, cleaning, vacuuming)
- Laundry
- Grocery shopping
- Meal preparation
Service Providers
An individual who qualifies will receive Homemaker Services as approved in the individual's care plan. The Division of Long Term Services and Supports does not directly provide Homemaker Services, but contracts with local homemaker/home health agencies to provide services.
