The Transition Services Liaison Project
The SBVI Vocational Rehabilitation Program partners with the Transition Services Liaison Project (TSLP) to create job opportunities and other activities designed to assist youth with disabilities to move from high school into the world of work or post secondary school. The Youth Leadership Forum has proven to be a unique career and leadership training program for high school juniors and seniors.

South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind Training
The South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind in Sioux Falls provides pre-employment transition services during the summer months for transition-age students. Students receive individualized training in the skills of blindness classes and vocational training.
South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind Transition Week
The Center also provides a one-week employment-related event called Transition Week which occurs each June for students from across South Dakota. Students are invited to participate in a variety of activities that promote vocational learning, career exploration, social skills, self-advocacy, and independence. Students stay in dormitories at Augustana University to gain the experience of being on a college campus. During the day, students attend the Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and are introduced to the skills of blindness and career planning.
